Toshiba 32DV502B and 32BV502B TV Repairs - Dies with a bang after refusing to turn on

There appears to be an issue with the Toshiba TV models 32DV502B & 32BV502B TVs where it may not switch on and then after a "pop" or small bang it will die and lose power. Although this may sound terminal, parts are readily available to make repairing this tv an option. This fault may occur on similar tv models, but the known ones are listed below:

Samsung models LE32A456C2D and LE32A457C1D TV Repairs - Slow to turn on/turns itself off

Both the Samsung LE32A456C2D and LE32A457C1D LCD TVs suffer from a few power-related issues. Sometimes it can be slow to turn on or refuse to turn on, and other times it can suddenly just turn itself off. These issues may happen together or independently of each other but are both repairable and cheaper than buying a new TV. These also have a good number of external connections available that modern TVs no longer have due to cost-cutting, and the HD picture will be just as good, if not better...

LG 50PK350 Plasma TV Clicking on and off, will not stay on

We've found a common fault with LG 50PK350 Plasma TVs - Usually clicking on and off, and will not stay on - you might get a brief grey backlight but otherwise no sound and will go back to standby. It usually tries to start up a number of times before giving up. However, no need to give up on this very smart looking TV, we now have the parts for this common fault. Samsung LE27T51BXXEU TV sound ok but no picture

The Samsung LE27T51BXXEU TV is older model granted, but the picture and sound on it aren't that far off some more modern TVs. If your Samsung LE27T51BX has recently lost it's picture but the sound remains ok - Might just be worth getting it repaired as components are still available for it, and at an affordable cost.

iPad digitizer screen repairs/replacement in Bath

We can now provide iPad digitizer screen repairs/replacement in our shop in Bath. Depending on the version of your iPad, the cost will be around £70-£80+Vat.

We can source replacement parts such as the headphone socket, wifi and bezel should these need replacing the same time. The internal lcd screen can also be replaced if required, however these tend to be more costly due to the screen price. Prices will be quoted before repair is carried out.

LG 42PQ3000ZA Plasma TV - turns on and off, clicking noise/dead

Although Plasma TVs are not my favourite thing in the world, I have to admit that LG, Panasonic and Samsung have made some rather nice ones. Some are more repairable than others though, and LG's 42PQ3000ZA can usually be repaired for a reasonable fee compared to most - If your 42PQ3000ZA has been struggling to turn on, clicks on and off with a red to green back to red standby light then it can usually be repaired (ideally the sooner you bring it in the better).

Panasonic DMREZ47VEBK repair (and similar) - DVD not working - U61 Error

Panasonic made some of the best DVD/VCR recorders around and DMR-EZ47V-EBK is no exception.

However, now that Panasonic and others have pulled the plug on production of DVD/VCR Combi's these will become rarer to find. The good news is that should your Panasonic DMR-EZ47V (or similar model) stop playing DVDs, we can now source spares including lasers. The cost of the repair can be quite high if the laser needs replacing (Around the £100 mark) but can still be cheaper than the second-hand marke...

Sony RDR-HX890 stuck on Guide Plus after update

November 26, 2013
There has been an issue with the Sony RDR-HX890 HDD/DVD Freeview recorders since Sony did a recent firmware update. It can affect the machine by forcing it to use Guide Plus for recording - unfortunately this feature is no longer supported and the Digital Guide needs to be unlocked.

This is something we can fix, and once done, you will be able to record tv again!

Samsung LE26R74BDXXEU TV loses Freeview tuning

November 21, 2013
Some of the Samsung LE26R74BDXXEU TV lose Freeview tuning making it impossible to get Freeview without a separate box. Scart and other ports appear to remain ok. We have now narrowed down the issue to basic component failure making it far cheaper to repair than replacing boards left, right and centre.

Top Up TV PVR guides not working

November 21, 2013
Recently a lot of Top Up PVR recorders have lost their guide making it impossible to make any timer recordings.

Normally older freeview recorders struggle with the latest signal but these can be put right. Repair will cost between £30-£40+Vat (not including Call Out).

There are a lot of different makes and models that use the Top Up TV software, the ones known with this fault are listed below:

Philips LCD TV Switching itself off

November 20, 2013
We have found that a few Philips TVs have issues where they turn themselves off. Although this can be for many reasons, it can be repairable.

If your Philips TV normally works ok but intermittently turns off and on restart the picture remains blank but sound is ok - This is something we may be able to help you with.

Rushing noise/noisy audio at low level from Toshiba AV554 & AV555 models fix now available

November 7, 2013
Some Toshiba LCD TVs have been affected by a glitch that results in a rushing noise/noisy audio at low levels. May also be described as a low roaring/airy sound, which happens on all sources but most noticeable when using scart or hdmi ports. We have found this issue recently with a 37AV554D model but it is known to affect others of a similar build.

We now have the technology to repair this defect and is a worthwhile and permanent fix.

If you are getting the Windows Logon error: "The User Profile Service failed on logon" issue then we may be able to help, this error can usually be repaired without formatting or reinstalling Windows. So before you reformat and lose all your photos, video and music, come and see us or ring for quotation!
